What's f1-dash?

f1-dash is a hobby project that started in 2023. It is a real-time telemetry and timing dashboard for Formula 1 — showing live lap times, sector times, gaps between drivers, tire choices, and much more.

What happened to position data & car metrics?

Formula 1 changed the accessibility of positional and car data — it's now locked behind a subscription. This data is no longer available here.

For positional data, mini-sectors are used to approximate car position on track. Less precise than before, but still gives a good indication of where the cars are.

What is the state of f1-dash?

The project is currently in maintenance mode. A major refactor is underway but not yet public. Development has slowed while focus shifts to other work. Updates land occasionally on the website.
